I started working at Papercone in January 2015 after working in healthcare for several years. I am originally from North Carolina and recently bought my first home. I am a dog mom to my boxer, Maverick. I spend my free time on my bike, in my kayak, or out looking for my next adventure.
I have been working in the Pre-Production Department at Papercone since June 1996. I love working at Papercone because of our great customers and very knowledgeable coworkers. I have been happily married for over twenty years and have two beautiful girls. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, baseball, and watching Indiana University basketball.
I have been with the Papercone family since 1999. My current role as the IT Manager is both rewarding and challenging. I enjoy working with people, helping to resolve their problems and making their day a little brighter. When I am not at Papercone, I love spending time at the lake with my husband, children, and many great friends. One of my favorite quotes is attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.”
As a kid, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked at Papercone for my father on Saturdays and during the summers. It inspired me to take a printing shop class in high school, run my own printing press from the basement of our home, and start a small business. I graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in printing from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY. During my college years, I worked four hours every day at the Boise Cascade Envelope Division in Rochester. After graduation, I worked there full-time for two years before returning to San Francisco to work at the family business, Papercone. In 1978, I was sent to Louisville to start up our new plant and am now the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Papercone Corporation, the largest privately held specialty envelope manufacturer in the U.S. I am the Chairman of the Global Envelope Alliance and an active member of the Chief Executives’ Organization and the Young Presidents’ Organization. I am deeply involved in philanthropic activities, serving on the boards of The Salvation Army, Rochester Institute of Technology, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and Walden School. My wife, Marilyn, and I live in Louisville, Kentucky and have two children and six grandchildren. I travel extensively for business and pleasure and love snow skiing around the world.
I was raised in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1983 with a degree in Advertising. I began my career at Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery, the largest winery in the world, and worked my way up from a salesman in Houston to State Manager of South Carolina. In 1988, Brooks Bower recruited me to join the Papercone team as Sales Manager and in 1998, was promoted to President. I have helped lead Papercone to become the largest specialty envelope manufacturer of its kind in the industry. Papercone now converts 100% of the Tyvek mailing envelope segment and 95% of the paper gusseted envelope market in the United States. I have served on the EMA Board of Directors, the Public Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Membership and Development Committee, and Chairman of the Board from 2012-2014. In Louisville, I have served on the Board of Directors for the Cabbage Patch Settlement House and as a Ruling Elder at Second Presbyterian Church. In my spare time, I rate golf courses for Golf Digest. My wife, Marybeth, and I have two sons. We love traveling and following Tennessee Vols football.
I am a lifelong resident of Louisville, Kentucky and attended Male High School. I graduated from Wittenberg University with a Political Science degree and then started my career at Kraft Foods. In 1989, I joined Papercone Corporation as a Sales Representative and have grown with the company into the position of Executive Vice President.
I am a member of the Envelope Manufacturers Association (EMA), immediate past Chairman of the EMA Foundation Board of Directors, former Chairman of the Membership/Development Committee, and was awarded the Daniel H. Lipman Member of the Year Award in 2005.
In Louisville, I am a long-time Board member at the Pendennis Club, the 2003-2005 Club President, the immediate past President of the Club, and am on their Foundation Board. I am a member of the Salvation Army Board of Directors and served a three-year term as Board chairman. I currently serve on the Steering Committee for 21st Century Parks, and am Board Chairman of the Kentucky Derby Museum.
My best decision was marrying my wife, Kristen. We have two sons, a daughter, and reside in Anchorage, KY. Outside of work, I am an avid golfer and volunteer as a Panelist for Golf Digest. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, music and travel.
My career at Papercone started in 1998 when I served as a Human Resources intern while attending Bellarmine University. I was fortunate to be offered a full-time position in the HR department upon graduation. Little did they know, as I like to joke often, they would be stuck with me forever! As VP of Human Resources, I love my job and the people I work with every day. While not at work, you can find me at a baseball field cheering on my son or in a theater watching my daughter pursue her dreams of acting.
I am the Vice President of Finance. I have been with Papercone for over twenty-five years. When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening, playing golf, hanging out by the pool, and cheering for the Louisville Cardinals. I currently reside in Audubon Park in Louisville, KY with my husband Eric and two children, Jeff and Lauren, and two dogs, Milo and Lily.

I graduated from the University of Memphis in 1987. My first job out of college took me to San Francisco, which ultimately led to my career with Papercone. I started working at Papercone in 1991 at our original headquarters in San Francisco, and I have been blessed to work with great colleagues and awesome customers over the past twenty-seven years. I enjoy traveling the country offering solutions, new ideas and product applications that help our customers generate new business. I have been honored to have many of my customers turn out to be good friends. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my two kids and watching them play sports. I started at Papercone as a consultant in November 1994 and accepted a full-time position as Customer Service Manager in February 1995. Prior to, I worked for a label manufacturing/printing company for six years. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York and now live in Indiana. My husband and I enjoy living in the country and driving out west to ride our Harley and explore new adventures.
I served in the U.S. Navy from September 1976 until my retirement in June 1998.
After retiring from the Navy, I worked as a credit manager for one of Louisville’s most well-known historic hotels. While I was there, I met Dawn Smith, who introduced me to Papercone and encouraged me to join the team. I was offered a position in December 1999 and am still here today! I love to travel with my honey, Mischell, and our two rescue Yorkies, Doc and Marty. I am currently the Commander at my local American Legion Post, where you are likely to find me having a good time at the bar! My comrades could tell you a story or two about me and some may even be true, but as Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “Calm seas never made a good sailor.”
I have been with Papercone since June 2000. Prior to Papercone, I had the honor of working at a historic local hotel with Rick Couch. Once he told me about the work environment at Papercone, I knew I had to work here. Once I was hired, I knew I was in the right place. I get to work for a family company that truly cares about their customers and employees. When I am not at “the Cone” as we call it, I enjoy hunting, working on my truck, spending time with my wife and son, hiking, swimming or anything outdoors.
I started at Papercone in January 2014 after working at a food manufacturing plant for thirteen years as a Customer Service Representative.
